Daniel Velez (born December 9, 1983) is a Puerto Rican swimmer, who specialized in breaststroke events. At the 2005 Maccabiah Games, he won gold medals in the 100-meter breaststroke and 400 medley relay, and a bronze medal in the 200 breast.〔()〕〔()〕 He represented Puerto Rico at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, and competed for the men's 100 m breaststroke. Velez won the third heat, with a time of 1:01.80, just 0.29 seconds ahead of India's Sandeep Sejwal.
